While the standardized digital locking mechanism is renowned for its security, any code can be broken with the proper training.
Security is a tier 1 Tech skill in Starfield with 4 ranks. It is available from the start. Ranks 2 through 4 each need a challenge completed before they can be bought.
It is a starting skill of 4 backgrounds.
