This I my attempt at creating an actual book accurate Geralt of Rivia build, I'm relatively new to The Witcher so I'm not 100% sure this build works and I'm sure it's not among the more powerful builds but that's pretty much by design to fit Geralt in the books
Full investment aard build. Catalyst stacks, forgotten wolven set bonus is OP. Piercing cold, conductors of magic, euphoria and magic sensibility all viable mutations. Basically one shot everything.
Press all the buttons and have fun while Yrden melts stuff.
This took me like 4 hours of research and a ton of respecs, but it's fairly simple. Also I have all superior oils. But enter battle, apply oil(or have auto apply oil on) then you should already have an adrenaline point. Cast yrden magic trap, then just have fun with the littered arena of auto yrden while you cast your adrenaline costing signs to infuse your next attack with an "element" of your choice.
Uses blood bath, red skills, quen, and alchemy to prioritize never getting hit and maximizing crits at full adrenaline. Use potions to supplement stamina regen and add whatever else you want. Quen investment with protection makes ursine 6 piece useful. Sword runes are flexible, but I chose stagger for the most openings on the widest array of enemies. Triglav or severance would work as well.
A sword-sign build with alchemy in mind, designed to use almost every single game mechanic with the fewest possible compromises and maximum output. It's a true three-way hybrid skill tree build that hits a ludicrous efficiency-to-fun ratio imho.
The playstyle is all about popping decoctions and potions first, casting Igni, and then flowing into light to heavy attack combos, parrying or dodging to trigger massive buffs (like Counterattack).
Hybrid build
Style of fighting , set of skills, mutations and equipment that's supossed to bring the closest resemblance of role-playing book version of Geralt of Rivia.

Igni's guaranteed burning with Yrden's slowing effects and DPS, while stacking critical hit chance and sword damage to rival dedicated melee builds. Resonance ties everything together by converting Sign Intensity into additional melee damage. A custom Griffin-Wolf hybrid build combining powerful Signs, devastating sword attacks, and aggressive Adrenaline management. Yrden controls the battlefield while Entanglement spreads magical traps. Igni delivers critical hits through Magic Sensibilities, and Resonance powers up sword strikes after every Sign cast. Whirl tears through enemies, while Razor Focus, Elation, Coldblooded with Split Bolts keep Adrenaline flowing.
It uses the secondary Quen Shield for Vitality regen. For Attacks you use Yrden and Aard
