Those under the sign of The Atronach absorb a portion of incoming spell damage and have a larger pool of Magicka, but recover it more slowly.
Avoid leveling any unnecessary skill, including armor skills untill you feel threaten or when you get the proper gear or any piece with decent enchantments on.
