While constructing an outpost offers its own challenges, properly managing that outpost takes a special personality type, and specialized training.

Outpost Management is a tier 3 Social skill in Starfield with 4 ranks. Its tier unlocks after 8 skill points are spent on the lower Social tiers. Ranks 2 through 4 each need a challenge completed before they can be bought.
